Iran's military claims to have hit a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed operations across the region in retaliation for a large-scale and continuing offensive against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Missile Defenses Activated

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house American military installations - reported they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their airspace.

In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had successfully engaged several missiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the Middle East.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the strikes on the Islamic Republic launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.

That US-Israeli operation - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck locations associated with the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump calling on the Iranian people to revolt against the regime.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems responded to the missiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," the statement continued.

The statement noted wreckage landed in a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and the death of one civilian.

The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
