Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Battles Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game winning run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the global hiatus, but can the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a range of guests.

In week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' new album, the new release, is available on Friday.

Football and Family Life

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not planning a serious return as a player.

"{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday football team," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be quite close, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's only on the road victory this season came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's manager.

So, what on earth do I go with here - will it be West Ham extending their streak under their manager, or the home side responding?

I will choose Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's prediction: The home team are doing well but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign started, but they have impressed a few observers under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their past four matches.

A family member told me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great success on the road this term, and Brighton are always decent at home. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six games.

Fulham have got lots of talent in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not seen any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of October.

However I am not going to do that. Rather, I truly need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they clearly love to prove me wrong.

Considering Fulham's home form, the only team they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's team will be extremely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

The guest's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
